About American Marriage Ministries

American Marriage Ministries is a non-profit church established in Washington State for charitable purposes. We believe that all people have the right to celebrate marriage in a manner that best reflects their values and our mission is to enable and facilitate those who wish to perform marriage for loved ones.

We enable through our ordinations, simple appointments that designate the applicant as the person best suited to solemnize marriage according to the beliefs of the engaged couple.

We facilitate through our website, a resource for all the information our ministers need to know in order to legally perform marriage.

Our ministers span the country and a wide spectrum of beliefs, however they all share in common the experience of performing marriage for their own daughters, nephews, brothers, and friends. We also understand that many of our ministers are performing marriage for the first time and naturally have many questions.

We are here to help. The truth is, the legal duties of performing marriage are basic clerical tasks concerning the proper application, completion, and return of the marriage license. Once our ministers understand what is required of them, they can focus on providing a meaningful wedding celebration.
